  • Identify contemporary economic and political issues and ethnic and religious conflicts resulting in the migrations of refugees.
  • Examine the development, role, and effects of technology including social media and chemical and biological technologies.
  • Analyze the increasing impact, events, and conditions that have given rise to international terrorism including U.S. Embassy bombing in Beirut, Lockerbie Bombing, U.S. Embassy bombings in Nairobi, and 2011 Breivik shootings.
  • Describe economic interdependence including the rise of multinational corporations, international organizations, and trade agreements.
