What students need to be able to do
- Describing personal experiences using complete sentences
- Speaking audibly with appropriate pacing, prosody, and voice level
- Participating in a variety of oral language activities
- Participating in choral speaking and recitation of short poems, rhymes, songs, and stories
- Retelling, creating, and dictating stories, rhymes, poems, and events in sequential order
- Using drama, props, and/or pictures
- Indicating first, next and last events in a story
