- Proficiently read and comprehend literary and informational texts at grade-level complexity.
- Draw evidence from texts to support claims, conclusions, and inferences.
- Quote or paraphrase from texts accurately and trace evidence location.
- Engage in listening to conceptually related texts to build knowledge and vocabulary.
- Use reading strategies to monitor comprehension when encountering challenging text sections.
